OOIDA Board election: Watch for your ballot

As the October issue of Land Line goes to press, OOIDA’s Board of Directors prepares to convene at the Association’s Grain Valley, Mo., headquarters for the fall meeting in early October. One of the items on the agenda is furthering the process of OOIDA’s latest election.

Every two years, OOIDA holds an election for alternates to the Association’s Board. Alternates are elected by and from the membership for two-year terms. All current alternate board member terms expire in 2014.

Nominations have been received, and the Nomination-Election Committee has verified the qualifications of the nominees. During the Oct. 9-11 board meeting, OOIDA will conduct interviews with those nominees. The interviews will be aired on OOIDA’s Sirius XM radio show “Land Line Now” on the Road Dog channel 146, and their profiles will be featured in the November issue of Land Line.

OOIDA will then submit a ballot to the full membership for the vote. Members have 45 days to make their choices and return the ballot to headquarters. Successful nominees will be seated at the 2015 spring board meeting.

For more details on the election and other actions of the OOIDA Board during the fall meeting, watch for the full report in the November issue of Land Line. LL
